Patrick Dubus
Internationally recognized senior expert in power electronics for space, aeronautics, automotive and defence, with four decades of field-tested experience across the most demanding industries.
Four decades at the front line of power electronics.
Patrick Dubus was born in France in 1963. He received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from École Supérieure d'Électricité (Supélec), Gif-sur-Yvette, France, in 1986, one of the most demanding engineering schools in the country, now part of CentraleSupélec.
The same year, he joined Astrium (now Airbus Defence & Space), where he spent 14 years designing space-grade DC-DC converters for some of the most demanding satellite platforms of the era. This deep immersion in the constraints of space, radiation hardness, mass and thermal envelopes, qualification under ECSS standards, shaped the methodical, traceable approach that has defined his work ever since.
He then joined GE Healthcare for two years, applying his expertise to the medical domain of power electronics, a field where reliability requirements are equally uncompromising, but where the constraints take a different shape (patient safety, electrical isolation, EMC in clinical environments).
His next step was Valeo, in Créteil, France, where he held the position of Power Electronics Senior Expert and was deeply involved in developing power electronic converters for the upcoming generation of electric vehicles, a domain that requires pushing efficiency, density, and cost down simultaneously, at automotive scale.
In 2005, he founded POWERLOGY, his own consultancy, and has been working since as an invited senior expert for leading organizations across Europe.
